There is a no-parking zone directly in front of the museum. Please use the parking garage Albrechtgasse where you can park for 1 hour for free. There are some parking possibilities around the Egon Schiele Museum. These are located in the short-term parking zone in the central area of Tulln.
We recommend a visiting time of about 90 minutes for the permanent exhibition “Egon Schiele private” and about 20 minutes for the “Treasury”. The works shown in the Treasury are changed yearly.
The Egon Schiele Museum is partially wheelchair accessible. A separate ramp leads across the forecourt to the house. Immediately in the entrance area you can find disabled toilets and a wheelchair accessible cash desk. Stair elevators bring you from the treasury on the ground floor to the animated stations of Egon Schiele’s life on the first floor.
ATTENTION: Wheelchair accessible entrance to the studio on the second floor is unfortunately not possible at this stage.
The former city prison of Tulln opened on the occasion of the 100th birthday of Egon Schiele in 1990 as the first museum dedicated exclusively to the life and work of the artist.
