With the renovation, the Egon Schiele Museum has been made as wheelchair accessible as possible. A ramp leading from the playground next to the Egon Schiele Museum to the stair lift in the courtyard in front of the Egon Schiele Museum provides barrier-free access to the stairs in front of the museum.
A stair lift then leads from the garden to the entrance. When you arrive at the door, please ring the bell so that a member of staff can open the door to the museum for you.
The wheelchair-accessible WC is located directly in the entrance area. From there you enter the cash desk / store area. The checkroom lockers are to your left. The cash desk is to your right.
Straight ahead from the cash desk, you can enter "the treasury" through a double-door glass door, where you will find a selection of annually changing original works by the exceptional artist.
A door next to the cash desk leads to a corridor that leads to the exhibition rooms. At the end of the corridor you will find a stair lift that will take you from the first floor to the upper floor. From there, a corridor leads to the exhibition area, where the permanent exhibition "Egon Schiele Private" can be seen.
A Euro key is required for the stair lifts in the outdoor and indoor areas.
ATTENTION: Unfortunately, barrier-free access to the studio on the 2nd floor is not possible. It would also be advisable to visit the museum with an accompanying person.
